The Kreisler Gallery offers a wide range of different groups of contemporary artists of national and international stature. Covering all styles, it is possible to find paintings, sculptures, graphic works, drawings and photographs. A must for art lovers.
Such is its popularity that after being founded in Madrid in 1965, it has opened other spaces in Miami, Barcelona and New York.
Admission is free. It is located in the Salamanca neighbourhood, at Calle Hermosilla 8, and is open from Monday to Friday from 10:30 to 14:30 and from 17:30 to 20:00, and on Saturdays from 10:00 to 14:00.
HELGA DE ALVEAR GALLERY
The Galería Helga de Alvear is an innovative space for international contemporary art, specialising in photography, video and installations, including conceptual languages. Its exhibitions stand out thanks to the great lighting and location that make the works the protagonists of the place.
It stands out for the friendly service of its staff, who provide complete information about the exhibitions. It is located at Calle Doctor Fourquet 12, open from 11:00 to 18:00 from Tuesday to Friday and on Saturdays from 11:00 to 14:00. Admission is free.
PARRA & ROMERO GALLERY
The Parra & Romero Gallery is much more than an exhibition to sell, it is a space where the whole artistic concept is explained. This "white cube" is based on the investigation of new languages in contemporary art, from minimalism and conceptual art.
This space has helped to promote the careers of some of today's most prestigious artists, such as David Lamelas, Luis Camnitzer and Robert Barry, among others.
It is located at Calle Claudio Coello 14, and is open from Monday to Saturday from 10:30 to 19:30, except for Saturdays when it opens at 11:00 and closes at 14:00.
NOGUERAS BLANCHARD GALLERY
A short distance from the Reina Sofía Museum, the Nogueras Blanchard Gallery, despite its small size, is considered one of the most prestigious minimalist exhibitions in the capital. It features works by nationally and internationally renowned artists.
