Blossom Tea: The New Ephemeral Florist's Shop at the Gran Hotel Inglés

Since its construction in 1853, the 5-star Gran Hotel Inglés in Madrid has been one of the nerve centres of Madrid's social life. Now, coinciding with the launch of its new afternoon tea service, it presents Blossom Tea, a floral pop up, which will take place from 3 to 14 November in the main lobby of the hotel. For this, the Gran Hotel Inglés has collaborated with the Madrid Flower School to recreate the classic Madrid flower shop that could be found in any of the streets of the Barrio de las Letras. This ephemeral flower shop will be open until 14 November and will host various activities such as floral workshops and live demonstrations, among others. It will also be the setting for the hotel's new English Tea service.

Tea and flowers for autumn evenings

The Blossom Tea will be served every afternoon from 3 to 14 November between 16:00 and 19:00 in the hotel lobby where the LoBbyto cocktail area is also located. This novelty includes the classic English tea, which is served with a tower of mini sandwiches, pastries and warm scones served with fresh cream and accompanied by a glass of cava, a "blossom" cocktail or champagne. In addition, we offer the possibility of accompanying this proposal with a small floral arrangement that will be made on the spot in the hotel's florist's shop according to the tastes of each client. The price of this activity with floral arrangement is 45€ per person, and without the arrangement from 25€ per person. Once this temporary activity is over, the GRAN HOTEL INGLÉS will continue to offer its afternoon tea service with the exception of the flowers.

A comprehensive partnership

The collaboration between the Gran Hotel Inglés and the Madrid Flower School goes beyond the celebration of the Blossom Tea.

Specifically, this prestigious school of floral design is, today, in charge of the floral decoration of the entire hotel, brightening up the view of guests and visitors to this centrally located hotel with its creations, with pieces made entirely by the school's students. This floral decoration, which varies every week, goes through different styles of floral design using some of the rarest and most unique varieties brought from Holland, Latin America and some selected national cultivars.
